So one of the surprises of camping out in Oregon is that the accustic backdrop to it is sniper alley, Sarajevo. This was illustrated last Saturday, when this 9mm (?) projectile let its presence known with a loud 'pop' when it entered my tent, ripping two nice round holes in the fabric.
I found it while looking for the source of this unusual noise. So, that's how it sounds. POP. It's a dangerous country.
